Creative Kids: Exploring Digital Art on the iPad with Procreate (Video Course)

Join artist Aaron Rutten as he guides young artists through the exciting world of digital art, using an iPad and the Procreate app. This course is perfect for beginners, focusing on digital art fundamentals with easy-to-understand language and a playful, creative vibe.

The course culminates in practical exercises, including drawing a self-portrait and an abstract painting, allowing students to apply their newly acquired skills. This lesson provides a strong foundation for independent digital art creation, with additional parts available for more advanced topics and grown-up assistance.

Included with the course are a set of brushes that will be easily recognizable to kids such as the Marker, Pencil, Crayon and more. These brushes have simplified controls to reduce mistakes and distractions, yet are powerful enough for professional illustration. For the best results, the Apple Pencil Pro is recommended, but the brushes will also work with finger painting.

Also included are a set of Color Swatches that offer a simpler way to choose color. These colors are similar to what you'd find in a box of crayons or paints.

For artists who want an additional challenge, an advanced lesson is provided. And two lessons are available for adults which give guidance on setting up the iPad and troubleshooting problems kids may have.

This course is suitable for an age range of 5-12 years, but even adults may appreciate the simplified presentation.
